Fitness for Real Life

Heather Hawkins is a NESTA-certified Personal Fitness Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Coach whose goal is to help people find the balance and passion to live their fittest lives. She firmly believes that a person’s health is influenced most by the 23 hours they spend outside the gym and coaches clients from all over the country on striking a maintainable balance she calls “Fitness for Real Life.”

Heather’s passion for fitness was instilled early, as she grew up firmly believing her mother was close personal friends with Jane Fonda in real life. Post-college, she embarked on a career in PR and marketing but continued to have a passion for all things physical—from competition-level cheerleading to Bikram to spinning and weight lifting. After more than a decade in corporate America, she’d learned tips and tricks for balancing her “desk jockey” day-job with these extracurricular activities and launched a blog to share these tips with readers. When she’s not working with clients or training for marathons, she’s in the kitchen or out on the town in search of delicious food and cocktails.

Heather lives in San Francisco, CA and, together with her partner Rob Terlizzi, blogs on fitness, food, and the “Fitness for Real Life” philosophy at www.FitLifeSF.com.
