there must be a formula for desk jobs: add i size to your butt for every year you spend sitting behind a desk without to lunges, squats or bridge exercises. a butt at rest all day grows every year and loses muscle. you after 10 or 15 years it shakes like jello when you jump up and down or get a smack on the butt. not sexy - just the sum of all leasure desk job sitting.

Hmmmmmm....so where are all the skinny, high metabolism food fascists going to send the less Aryan rotund mortals? Someplace where "werk macht frei?" There's a whole bunch of hatred in here and it's a lot more evil than having endocrine issues. "Vanity-It's definitely my favorite". -Uncle Al

You said basically what I signed in to write, James. No matter what, if there is something you want (to be healthy) nothing will stop you. No matter your job or life situation.

Like others have said, this is justification (read: EXCUSE!) to be fat. People like myself have schedules just as busy as the next person, but we MAKE the time to eat well and exercise consistently. You only need the right info to get in shape. Your job, money and time do NOT confine you to being fat.

"Possible solutions " LETTING YOUR WORKERS TAKE THEIR TWO FIFTEEN MINUTE BREAKS AND ONE HOUR LUNCH, SO THAT THEY CAN MOVE AROUND! INSTEAD OF BEING A SLAVE OWNER AND WORK THEM TO DEATH WITH HEART ATTACKS! DUH!

This is a stupid article. Your job can not make you fat, its all entirely a individuals own fault if they are fat. I used to work at KFC and even ate food there on occasions, and most of our employees where skinny or in shape, with a few fatties, mainly the females. So job's have nothing to do with someone's weight.

Oh, please. Yet another excuse to justify your weight problem. What next? If you're serious about your health and weight, then you make time to exercise and eat right. People have been sitting at desks for generations and have been fine, weight wise. Just admit to youerself that you don;t always make good choices when it comes to your diet.
