the levels of BPA are so low that it would have no effect on the physiological health of an adult or child. How can they compare what material will cause mental health issues? There are so many factors and a relationship of 13% is too low to actually come a conclusion. Lastly, i hope everyone remembers tat correlation does not equal causation.

My old fillings were fine, lasted 40 years. Now replaced with the new stuff. I would think the rotting teeth, poor tooth care would be much worst than what the filling was made of. After all the materials are studies and shown to not leach into the saliva and thus into the human body. This article is just fear mongering. Must have been a slow news day.

amalem can cause panic in some people but amalgum has one big draw back in compatibilty with tooth enamal so they need to drill a biger hole to make it not fall out . so any advantage over composite is bull ,chew maRAJAUNA GUM IT makes the teeth more able to take up calcium from your saliva,

I've had metal fillings my whole life with no adverse reactions, I'm now in my 30's. I've also have the "new" fillings and every one of them failed within 1-3 years, the metal one's have been in my mouth since my adult teeth came in, one filling is almost 20 years old and I've had no issues with it. Amalgam fillings have existed since the T'ang Dynasty in China (618-907 A.D.). Also

Okay, all of you people griping about what your filings are made of, get to work inventing something else to fill the rotting hole in your tooth! Everyone complained about the silver amalgam fillings so someone invented the pretty white plastic ones. Now those are no good. Suggestions? People, there is no conspiracy to poison you! The only other option is extraction. Not attractive or very practical.

You are IDIOTS. Kids are going to lose those teeth anyway. of course the ADA wants insurers and parents to pay for expensive alternatives... for a tooth that will fall out in a few short years.
