When it comes to women and sex, there can be an unspoken, unorganized set of rules to be followed. Being vocal and expressive about the pleasures of sex has been a taboo subject for a long time.
Exploration of sexuality and what is enjoyable is as old as the concept of humanity itself.
And women being able to share that exploration with their partners is becoming increasingly more important -- both to the intimacy shared in a relationship and the sexual health and wellness for women today.
“Sex never gets old,” said Lorraine Byerley, Vice President of Marketing for Standard Innovation, whose company is creator of the We-Vibe sexual aid devices that have become widely popular among couples in over 50 countries around the world.
Along with Byerley, a team of assorted contributors with We-Vibe were on hand recently at the CES convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.
They discussed some of the innovative technology associated with their brand and how their products can and will revolutionize the safety associated with sexual aids.
Their products offer a high quality, eco-friendly device that was so innovative, Danny Osadca,
Grant Bechthold and Kendra Novick were asked to speak on its behalf at the largest consumer technology tradeshow in the world.
Our own Michelle Robson got a chance to sit down and talk to both Byerley and Grant Bechthold in order to learn about their company and the new We-Vibe 3 product they were in town to help promote.
“Standard Innovation was the first sexual health company invited to speak at CES,” says Bechthold.
“Because of its design and the measures taken to create the We-Vibe, we were the first. The brand has spent millions of dollars on research and development, working with gynecologists, sexologists and The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality as well as members of academia like the University of Guelph for long-standing independent testing.”
Along with We-Vibe’s dedication to health and safety, exploring and helping with the intimacy of couples gives this device an originality unlike any other vibrator on the market.
In fact, I wouldn’t call it a vibrator ... And neither would Lorraine Byerley.
“The term ‘vibrator’ has a limited and sometimes negative stigma attached,” said Byerley.
“It’s more than a vibrator. In fact, We-Vibe and their product line is only a symptom of a largely growing trend of women becoming more and more comfortable and proactive with improving their sex life. “For the longest time, men were the primary consumers of adult novelty stores, but statistics show that 80% of new consumers are women,” Byerley said.
Oftentimes with couples, their sex lives can use a little recharge. The intimacy in relationships can either plateau or it just needs a little spice after a while.
Not to mention, broaching the subject of wanting or needing variety in your sex life can be a challenge when discussing it with your partner. Or is it?
“[According to our research,] 70% of men are comfortable with using a sexual device in bed,” says Bechthold.
Not only should this information be helpful in your hesitance towards introducing the conversation with your partner, but We-Vibe reports that their product line has been a very beneficial “couple’s aid” with over 2 million people having purchased their products all around the world.
With 100 percent lead-free, phthalate-free medical grade silicone, the
We-Vibe 3 is a very new, innovative device which, because of its one-of-a-kind design (I’ll let you visit their website for a better visual and understanding), allows for both people to take part in the fun.
